band of Brothers 2 - The Pacific

Le Pacifique est basée principalement sur deux mémoires de marines américains: « Old Breed » de Eugene Sledge et « Helmet for My Pillow » de   Robert Leckie. La série racontera les histoires des deux auteurs et marine John Basilone, comme la guerre contre l’Empire du Soleil Levant (Le Japon) fait rage.

Étant donné les sources littéraires cités ci-dessus, la série mettra en vedette une panoplie batailles connue impliquant la 1ère division de Marines, comme Guadalcanal, Cap Gloucester, Peleliu, et Okinawa, ainsi que l’implication de Basilone à la bataille d’Iwo Jima.
Le Pacifique est produit par Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks et Gary Goetzman en association avec HBO Films, Playtone, Dreamworks, et Seven Network. [
